INCONEL Alloy 600
INCONEL Alloy 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy engineered for outstanding resistance to high-temperature oxidation and corrosion. Known for its excellent mechanical properties and high strength over a broad temperature range, it is ideal for both cryogenic and elevated temperatures up to 1175°C (2150°F). Its versatile chemical stability and performance under extreme heat and stress make it an industry standard in chemical processing, nuclear engineering, welding electrodes and heat treatment applications. This alloy by Special Metals demonstrates excellent resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking and caustic corrosion. It maintains structural integrity in extreme thermal cycling and offers superior metallurgical stability, making it a preferred material for demanding environments involving acids, alkalies, and oxidation.
